LANGZEITBELICHTUNG: 25 years of Künstlerhof Frohnau
Künstlerhof Frohnau (KHF) is celebrating its 25th anniversary: since 1998 it is as a place of artistic production, creative exchange and retreat for artists, hidden on the very northern edge of Berlin, directly on the border to Brandenburg. The group exhibition LANGZEITBELICHTUNG combines past and present of this remote yet historically loaded location. In painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, installation, print and video, the artists explore the omnipresent forest landscape and its partly violent history, reflect on their artistic practice in this seclusion and research KHF’s extensive archives on Berlin’s cultural politics since the 1960s, compiled by Künstlerhof’s founder Dieter Ruckhaberle, who was one of the defining figures of the city’s cultural scene.

LANGZEITBELICHTUNG deals with the multi-layered web of topics that are concentrated at Künstlerhof Frohnau: The changing cultural politics of Berlin and the history of the forest and former borderland; questions about artistic production and sustainability, and discourses around illness and healing, migration and isolation.

In addition, there are many other events:

The exhibition of the recipients of the Dieter Ruckhaberle Award 2022/23 at GalerieETAGE at Museum Reinickendorf from 28.04.-13.08.

The festival for contemporary music and performance “Walden: Memory Beach”, on and around Künstlerhof Frohnau, on July 01, 2023 .
As well as the Open Studios on the first weekend of September 2023. More information soon.
