Walden, which has been held annually since 2021 at and around Künstlerhof Frohnau, is a festival for contemporary music and performance. Here, artists explore the forest around the Künstlerhof as a sound space and stage. Performative, musical, and discursive contributions, some of which are specifically designed for the event, approach the long history of the place. They follow associative contexts and deal with the tensions between nature and culture, city and periphery, history and present.
